Before the Barry Island Tunnel became a shooting range, it was an active train access under the houses which provided residences overlooking the Barry Docks. Today, we enjoy The Tunnel up to 200 yards, where the overall length is about 280 yards. The entrance is next to the Barry Island station, and the back side is adjacent to the Barry Yacht Club which is blocked off. The below movie covers the voyage from The Docks, through The Tunnel all the way to Sully Station - the last train voyage that went through The Tunnel on the 11th of October 1971.
